The Sweet Voice of Kelsey

April 9, 2005

I have a video of my little Kelsey just talking and things we caught her on video doing. She does sometimes say some pretty weird things. Kelsey has a pretty different voice for a 2-year-old girl. Here is our one and only beautiful princess Kelsey:
That is our little angel. She is here to be with us. As her mother, I am proud to say she is mine. She is a very beautiful girl and I am not just saying that because I am her mother. Kelsey's sweet sound-filling voice.

Swingset Baby

April 3, 2005

At our house, in the backyard, we have a little playset outside. It has two swings. One big girls swing and one regular swing. Mikayla likes playing on the swing in the summer sometimes, when she has nothing better to do. She is 8 years old, she has many other things to do in the summer. Kelsey loves being out there she adores the baby swing out there. Mikayla sometimes pushes her on it. Otherwise she just sits there in it. It is histarical how long she will stay in that swing. Here are a few pictures of Kelsey in the swing.

The Cutest Child

April 1, 2005

My daughter Kelsey is only 2 years old and adorable. She has been a bit down lately, we don't know what that's about. She is so sweet with her blonde hair and smiling face. I know she is only 2 years old, and of course we love Mikayla the same. Kelsey just has that little face that attracts people. It is so touching to see her smiling. Mikayla loves Kelsey just as much as I do. Lance and Mike of course love her too. But as girls, Mikayla and I find an irresistable touch to Kelsey and become overdramatic over her. She is the sweetest little girl. Mikayla refuses to treat and take care of any other child than Kelsey. She only wants Kelsey to be her sister. She refuses to carry another child for over 2 minutes. Mikayla puts Kelsey before her most of the time. When Mikayla gets into her little shopping and interest fase is the only way Kelsey doesn't come first. Otherwise, she lets Kelsey walk ahead of her, she opens the doors for Kelsey, she lifts Kelsey up the stairs, and she lets Kelsey have what she wants. That is what I love about my two girls being sisters. They aren't the ones who hesitate to talk to their sister. Kelsey is too little to understand alot, but she knows who Mikayla is. She understands that is her sister who loves her very much. Kelsey does have feelings emotionally and physically and understands when people touch and sometimes say things to her. When they yell, she doesn't really understand what they're saying just that their mad. When someone is hugging her and carrying her, she doesn't understand why, she just knows they're being nice to her. Kelsey would know if someone hurt her. She would know if someone loved her. She does understand things, just not as well as Mikayla or the other older kids. Mikayla doesn't hesitate to be nice to Kelsey she doesn't think about it much. She just goes out of her way to be nice to others, especially Kelsey. I am glad of who Mikayla is going to become. I can tell she is going to be a good person. I can tell she will always go out of her way to help, not hurt people. Kelsey is only the first person she will be nice to. Kelsey loves her sister, like Mikayla loves her. Here is our adorable and beautiful Kelsey Smith-Briggs:

That is our beautiful child, Kelsey Smith Briggs. She is an adorable and enjoyable child. The first two were from when she was younger, the second one is about her age now. She is so happy in the thrid picture it makes me smile!

Little Model Mikayla

March 29, 2005

Today, Mike and I took Kelsey and Mikayla to do a little bit of shopping. We first  went to Payless Shoe Source. I got some new heels for church, Mike got some runners for working out, Mikayla got some brown and rainbow children's runners, and Kelsey got pink and white fairy tie up runners. Then Mikayla wanted to go to her absolute favorite shopping store, The Children's Place. We used the directory and tried to find it, but we couldn't find it anywhere. Mikayla was getting impatient and Kelsey was so tired, she was falling behind everybody else. We were looking for 15 minutes, until we asked the guy who worked at Best Buy where it was. He said it was outside the mall, just right outside. Then we walked out and spotted it. Mikayla cheered up and was excited to go. Kelsey, was still very tired. Then when we got there, Mikayla looked as if she were in Heaven. She loves buying new clothes and shopping. She isn't much of a toys kinda girl. She has high maturity levels for an 8 year old. I told her we had to get some jeans, so she picked out a nice pair of jeans, Size 9, and a cute green t-shirt to go with them. She tried them on in the change room, Mike waited outside, and Kelsey and I came in with her. When she was all dressed up, she was doing poses like a model for Kelsey. Then I put them in the bag, and we went out to look for some more. We found some pyjamas, a yellow tank top, with a navy pair of capri pants with rainbow butterflies on them. Mikayla did some more model poses for Kelsey and Kelsey clapped her hands. Then we added them to the bag. Kelsey waited in the change room, while I took Mikayla to find another thing to try on. She found a green and blue bikini bathing suit, a purple bathing suit cover with some designs on it, and flip flops with navy blue bottoms with colorful designs, and pink with a bow for the actual thing that holds your foot in. We went back to the change room, with Kelsey waiting quietly. Mikayla tried on the bathing suit and flip flops, first without the swim suit cover, then with it. She posed for Kelsey and once again, Kelsey clapped her little hands. Then we added that stuff to the bag. Then I took Mikayla and Kelsey out of the change room, to find more stuff. Then Mikayla found a rain coat she wanted. It was raincoat season, it is going from winter to spring and that's when the rain comes out. Then I got her a t-shirt and a long sleeved shirt to try on under it, to see if she could wear both. Mikayla tried the t-shirt and sleeved shirt on under the coat and both times, posed and did model stands for Kelsey. Little Kelsey clapped her hands and agreed she was enjoying watching her sister be a little model. Then Mikayla found another outfit and tried it on. It fit, I let her wear it out and we would pay for it and then we ended the shopping trip. I told the girls that today was Mikayla's shopping day, tomorrow, as Mikayla's last day of spring break, we would go to Menchies, and then on Monday while Mikayla's at school, Mike and Lance are going to take Kelsey for her big shop. I did forget to mention, Lance came over for a little visit yesterday. He is leaving tomorrow night to get back to the military base. Kelsey is really happy to see Lance. Of couse, Mikayla is too, but Kelsey loves Lance the most. She and Lance had a good father-daughter relationship, that's why I feel so bad for Kelsey, that Lance and I divorced.
